"First Azerbaijani Women's Cooperative to Partner with Uzbek Counterparts"

An agreement on cooperation has been reached between Azerbaijan's first "Chinar" Women's Cooperative operating in the Zaqatala district and the "GulRuz" Farm from the Chust district of Uzbekistan's Namangan region.

This was reported to AZERTAC's regional correspondent by Saadat Dibirova, head of the "Chinar" Women's Cooperative. She stated that cooperative relations between Azerbaijan and Uzbekistan have been rapidly developing across many sectors in recent years. In this context, cooperation is being established in various areas between the Azerbaijan Rural Women's Association and relevant government and non-governmental organizations in Uzbekistan, focusing particularly on business ties and experience exchange among female farmers and entrepreneurs.

To act jointly toward developing women's entrepreneurship, applying innovative approaches, and bringing products to international markets, cooperation ties between the "Chinar" Women's Cooperative and the "GulRuz" Farm have been formalized. The initiative aims to establish long-term and mutually beneficial business cooperation between the two organizations, promote experience exchange in production and processing, develop cooperation in market access, and implement joint projects.

The parties plan to execute projects involving experience exchange on applying modern cultivation technologies in horticulture and fruit growing, as well as in the processing, packaging, storage, and application of quality standards for fruit and vegetable products. Furthermore, they plan to study and apply new technologies and innovative methods in dried fruit production, conduct mutual product promotion, and participate jointly in exhibitions, fairs, and business forums.

It should be noted that the parties have undertaken several mutual visits for preliminary exchanges of views and introductions. More closely integrated business connections are planned for the coming years.
