Cooperation between female entrepreneurs of Azerbaijan and Uzbekistan has entered a new phase following the successful business visit to Azerbaijan of a 16-member delegation of women entrepreneurs from the Republic of Uzbekistan, jointly organized by the Azerbaijan Rural Women's Association and the Association of Women Entrepreneurs of Azerbaijan.
The delegation represented the Namangan Regional Branch of the "Tadbirkor Ayol" International Association of Business Women in Uzbekistan, led by the head of the organization, Lola Abdukhalimova.
The main purpose of the visit was to expand business ties between women entrepreneurs of Azerbaijan and Uzbekistan, create an international business network for female agricultural entrepreneurs, promote experience exchange, establish new partnerships, and develop long-term cooperation.
During the business visit, the delegation visited the "Citrus Valley" Agritourism and Recreation Center in the Lankaran region, founded by woman agri-entrepreneur Raftara Shukurova. Female agri-entrepreneurs from Beylagan, Zaqatala, Fuzuli, Lankaran, and Quba regions were also invited to the meeting, where broad networking among women entrepreneurs, productive exchanges of ideas, and future cooperation opportunities were discussed.
Participants highly praised "Citrus Valley," served by the "Ivradamon" Women's Cooperative, as a successful model of women-led agritourism. In addition to its significance for the economic initiatives of rural women, cooperative activities, and the development of agritourism, this meeting contributed to expanding regional and international cooperation among women entrepreneurs.
In the next phase of the visit, an extensive business meeting of Azerbaijani and Uzbek women entrepreneurs was held in Baku. Ideas were exchanged on the development of female entrepreneurship, agribusiness, cooperatives, agricultural processing, agritourism, the expansion of export opportunities, and the preparation of joint projects.
A number of important cooperation documents were signed between the parties during the meeting:
-
Tripartite Memorandum of Cooperation among the Namangan Regional Branch of the "Tadbirkor Ayol" International Association of Business Women, the Azerbaijan Rural Women's Association, and the Association of Women Entrepreneurs of Azerbaijan;
-

-
Memorandum of Cooperation between the "GulRuz" Farm in the Namangan region of Uzbekistan and the "Chinar" Women's Cooperative operating in the Zaqatala region of Azerbaijan.
The signed memorandums envisage organizing mutual experience exchanges, expanding business ties among female entrepreneurs, preparing joint projects, strengthening cooperation among cooperatives, developing agricultural processing, agritourism, marketing, boosting export opportunities, and advancing the international business network for women entrepreneurs.
Fakhriya Khalafova, a well-known Azerbaijani fashion designer, added special color to the signing ceremony with her speech and warm wishes, expressing her support for further strengthening Azerbaijan–Uzbekistan friendship and women's solidarity.
Gulbaniz Gambarova: "These memorandums are a solid legal foundation for future joint projects" Gulbaniz Gambarova, Chair of the Azerbaijan Rural Women's Association, stated in her speech: "Relations between Azerbaijan and Uzbekistan have reached the level of strategic partnership today. The path of development set by our heads of state is already yielding tangible results among women entrepreneurs. We believe that the memorandums signed today are not merely documents of intent, but a solid legal basis for future joint projects, mutual investments, business relations, and long-term friendship. We want female agri-entrepreneurs from Azerbaijan and Uzbekistan to unite on a single cooperation platform, share their experiences, expand access to each other's markets, and jointly contribute to the development of women's entrepreneurship across the Turkic world. This cooperation will serve to expand economic opportunities for rural women, strengthen family farms, and promote sustainable rural development."
Zemfira Agayeva: "Cooperation among women entrepreneurs serves to strengthen friendship between our peoples" Zemfira Agayeva, Chair of the Association of Women Entrepreneurs of Azerbaijan, noted: "International cooperation among women entrepreneurs represents not only the development of economic relations, but also the reinforcement of trust, friendship, and mutual understanding between our peoples. The women of Azerbaijan and Uzbekistan share a common history, a rich culture, and an entrepreneurial spirit. This meeting demonstrated once again that women entrepreneurs play a key role in generating new business ideas, applying innovative approaches, and fostering regional cooperation. I believe these established connections will yield concrete economic results in the coming years and open new opportunities for women entrepreneurs in both countries."
Lola Abdukhalimova: "The partnership we established with Azerbaijan will be a wonderful example for women entrepreneurs across the Turkic world" Lola Abdukhalimova, Head of the Namangan Regional Branch of the "Tadbirkor Ayol" International Association of Business Women, stated: "We express our deep gratitude to the Azerbaijan Rural Women's Association and the Association of Women Entrepreneurs of Azerbaijan for the high hospitality, warm attitude, and professional organization extended to us in Azerbaijan. This visit provided us with the opportunity to closely acquaint ourselves with the activities of Azerbaijani women entrepreneurs, gain new partners, and lay a solid foundation for future cooperation. The signed memorandums will elevate cooperation among female entrepreneurs of our countries to a new stage. I am confident that the partnership launched today will expand through future joint projects, business missions, training programs, and mutual investment initiatives. The success achieved together by the women of Azerbaijan and Uzbekistan will serve as an excellent example for the entire Turkic world."
A new platform for cooperation among women entrepreneurs is taking shape in the Turkic world The signed memorandums of cooperation serve as a vivid example of how the dynamically developing friendship and strategic partnership between Azerbaijan and Uzbekistan in recent years are gaining new content in both economic and social spheres. Translating the high level of political trust existing between the states into practical cooperation among women entrepreneurs, cooperatives, and civil society institutions serves shared development goals.
This cooperation also makes a significant contribution to forming a new platform for female entrepreneurship across the Turkic world. Joint initiatives in agricultural entrepreneurship, cooperatives, agritourism, processing of agricultural products, and family business development create broad opportunities for deepening economic integration among regional countries, sharing innovative practices, forming new value chains, and further increasing women's economic activity.
The Azerbaijan Rural Women's Association, the Association of Women Entrepreneurs of Azerbaijan, and partner organizations from Uzbekistan are confident that this cooperation model will spark the formation of a broader regional business network that other Turkic states' women entrepreneurship organizations can join in the future. This initiative is regarded as a successful partnership model serving economic empowerment for women, higher social welfare in rural communities, sustainable rural development, and stronger economic solidarity among women in the Turkic world.
This meeting between Azerbaijani and Uzbek women entrepreneurs proved once again that cooperation rooted in shared history, common values, and mutual trust contributes significantly not only to the economic development of the two countries, but also to the strengthening of female entrepreneurship and the building of a sustainable future for the entire Turkic world. This partnership forms a solid foundation for long-term cooperation, mutual trust, and shared progress that will serve future generations.
