Today, the Ministry of Agriculture held a conference on "Women's contribution to the development of the agricultural sector" on the occasion of October 15 - International Rural Women's Day. Azerbaijan Rural Women's Association was represented at this event by 17 representatives of Women's Development and Enterprise Group and 80 female farmers invited from 14 regions. The speakers of the conference were Mrs. Ilhama Gadimova, Deputy Minister of Agriculture, Mrs. Malak Cakmak, Head of the Azerbaijan Office of the UN Food and Agriculture Organization, Mrs. Jeyran Rahmatullayeva, Chief of Staff of the State Committee on Family, Women and Children's Problems, and Mrs. Gulbeniz Ganbarova, the Chairperson of the Association of Rural Women of Azerbaijan. they talked about the possibilities of creating wide opportunities for them to contribute to the economic development of the regions, increasing the role of women farmers in food production and developing their digital skills.

The Chairperson of the Association and the Chairperson of ARGÜNESH Women's Group were awarded with Honorary Diplomas of the Ministry.
